What Members Thought
This book dragged for a long time. I have heard such great things about the movie, and so was expecting to like the book. Finally, somewhere after halfway the pace did pick up a bit. I'm going to see the movie tomorrow which will be an interesting comparison.

I guess that I had a difficult time relating to the time period and the way that society was so against gay/lesbians. I know that so many had to hide relationships and feelings but I could not really get a feel for the time period from this book. Therese was immature and Carol was selfish.
This was a 3.5 read for me.
