What Members Thought

I've just finished listening to an audiobook version of this classic Christian novel written by John Bunyan and narrated by Max McLean. It is a great recording. I love this allegorical story and learned so much about what it takes for a Christian to journey through this life.
I think John Bunyan must have been a genius. He thought of all sorts of scenarios that could help with progress toward the Holy City - or dangers that could trip a person up.

"Il pellegrinaggio del cristiano" è un'opera scritta da John Bunyan, pubblicata per la prima volta nel 1678. Il titolo originale è The Pilgrim's Progress from This World, to That Which Is to Come: Delivered under the Similitude of a Dream. Si tratta di un romanzo allegorico e religioso che narra il viaggio di un uomo chiamato Cristiano, il quale, consapevole della sua condizione spirituale e dei peccati, intraprende un cammino verso la salvezza e la vita eterna.

Read this on recommendation of a friend. I read an edition that had modern language. This was much easier than when I originally tried to read an original edition. Bunyan is as on target today with the human condition, sin, and choices as he was in 1670. I guess that is really a sad commentary on our ability to live our lives as Jesus demonstrated for us. Thankful for Grace

I'm just starting in--only up to Legality. The version pictured here is not the one I have, but mine is unabridged and in print.
