What Members Thought
So really, don't read the introduction to this book if you don't want to know exactly what happens. If you are introducing something, doesn't it make sense that whoever is being introduced to might not already know what's coming? I usually don't mind too much when this happens, my memory is unreliable so chances are I won't remember the spoilers. But this one went a step further in a way that really colored my reading experience, and saying critics of the time claimed that it was a little cheesy

Highly recommended! Especially right now.
A family saga, set in a fascist dystopia that doesn't seem evil, just odd, intially. Sooo quotable... I marked more passages in this book than any other in the past couple years. Applicable, accessible reading. Long live Doremus Jessup!
It's a dystopia without the sci-fi - and with people, places, and politics you'll easily relate to. ...more
