I started this novel several times and couldn’t continue because of the gruesome and creepy nature of the story. Things around me had to settle down before I could press forward with it and I’m so glad I circled back. I just loved this book. It broke my book block. And the audio performance of this entire series is also reliably good.

Mixed feelings despite the 4 star rating. I really enjoyed the further relationship development of Cormoran and Robyn...but the extreme graphic violence (worse than the second book, which was pretty sickening in its descriptions) was hard to listen to (audiobook). Hoping Rowling dialed it back a few notches in the next installment.
