Amazing! This beautiful picture book tells the story of Soonie and her family freedom riders and quilt makers while highlighting the oral storytelling tradition through generations. I listened to the audio read by Woodson herself and her voice is both lyrical and simple, utterly perfect!
Great illustrations and wonderful story. Highly recommend.
