Tyrant Banderas is the story of a ruthless dictator of a fictional Latin American country and the growing revolution coalescing to overthrow his rule. It’s violent and brutal, campy and darkly comic--and just really very good. Pardon the crudeness of comparing a 1926 novel by a Spanish master to a Quentin Tarantino film, but the story totally has a similar sinister-absurd vibe to it. (I like early Tarantino, so sue me.)
