This book is full of observations of the Miami real estate boom and gentrification, of politics of locally grown food and sugar, of teen culture, and of the ebbs and flows of marriage and family relationships. The book got a little slow. This is my first read by this author. It was highly praised by our local book seller. perhaps my concentration wasn't there when reading.
