I both enjoyed and was heartbroken with this book. It is based on true people and stories from World War 2. The experiences from the concentration camp and lack of resources afterwards are so sad. Some of the characters make poor decisions or suffer from other people's poor decisions. It is well written and I love that the prologue explains which parts are fact and which are fiction.
