I'm on a tear of Cold War-era spycraft right now, and Cumming makes good use of the real-life Trinity ring of Soviet spies as a jumping-off point into modern-day relations between Britain and Russia. Overall a clever and entertaining story, although Gaddis is sometimes the beneficiary of circumstances in a way that feels a little forced.
