I won't rate this book because I had to stop on page 146. I just couldn't read it anymore. It is incredibly well researched, but it wasn't what I thought it would be. I wanted more of a story rather than facts and quotes listed over and over. I think it would appeal more to those interested the Japanese culture during this time period.m
