I am usually one for thrillers and suspense, yet, this book left me un-thrilled and far from being on the edge of my seat. The book had some good characters and some good plot lines, but it dragged on for me. The suspense was overridden by chapters of extraneous characters and details that never went anywhere nor gave important or pertinent information. It is already a long read with some exciting but interrupted moments - lessening the thrill. It is well written in spite of it's lengthiness.

Shelves: thriller, spy

While not especially plausible, it's got solid thriller elements - a very grabby opening hook and enough action to keep it moving. A nice choice for a brain recharge/vacation read. ...more
