The book begins with Nestor Chaffin trapped in a walk in freezer after hosting a house party. The next morning Nestor's body is found then the book goes back two weeks to see what led to this event. Most of the book is more about the people who stayed overnight after the house party and their secrets. There is very little investigation into the murder.
