Reading this book is like walking through a dream: it's enjoyable, it's intriguing, you're engaged in the dream, and then you wake up and you have no idea what the fuck that was all about. Did it really happen?

Is there any greater mystery than the separateness of each person?


I have it shelved as a dystopian, but it's not really a dystopian; civilization as we know it does not end, it is only interrupted by the plague that sweeps through the country.

I liked the first part of the book, hence the 3 stars. The second half would barely make 2 stars. The author has some good writing but failed to deliver. Very anti-climactic on the whole apocalyptic theme.
