What Members Thought
My rating for this book is skewed and needs a little explaining. While I agree this is a well-crafted thriller (I could hardly put it down, so 5 stars there), I was appalled by the gruesome and explicit descriptions of young women being tortured and raped and murdered. (Think: Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but more intense and ongoing.) And yes, I know, I should have expected as much: it's not as though the book's jacket copy and genre didn't clue me in, so my fault for diving in anyway. Even so,

I needed an easy, gripping mystery to keep me awake on a long drive. (I listened to this one)This was perfect! Though I had one or two minor annoyances with how the story was set up, they didn’t actual take anything away from my overall enjoyment of this book. I]the content is disturbing to be sure, but it kept my attention and entertained me from start to finish.
Very riveting story about a family and the loss of the sister/daughter that was missing for 20 years.
