Read this in one day. It made me laugh and sad since I got attached to the characters and some sad things happen to them. Some insights into small town life in China. At one point the lead's grandfather turns in their radio to the police because they'd listened to subversive ( capitalist) radio station and when they get it back there are nails in the radio where the subversive channels are located.
