Wow, what an amazing story this girl has to tell. Yeonmi Park and her mother escaped from North Korea to China, when they realized that if they didn't they would either starve to death or die in a labor camp. This is one of those stories that I believe everyone in the U.S. needs to read.

This is the third book I’ve read about life in North Korea and escapes. The Girl with Seven Names and Nothing to Envy were both amazing! I was already familiar with many things from those books, but Yeonmi Park’s book was a great read. She had some volatility in her young life, where she experienced both times of plenty and extreme want. She was forced to grow up when she was just a child out of necessity. 3.5 stars. It's actually one of the few books I've read about human trafficking and North Korea. A quick read.
