I began listening to this on audio, but I couldn't get into it even though I tried 4-5 times. After the 2nd hour listening to it, I decided to "DNF" it.

In part, it was that the narrator's voice wasn't interesting to listen to, as she read both female and male voices in an unnatural and contrasting way. But also, the story was slow and dull, which is a strong reason to stop reading. Ex: the mother was naive and babied her children, her voice was irritating.
