This powerful story recounts the war in the Balkans from the perspective of a young Croatian girl. Beautifully written, the novel follows her on her journey through tragedy to safety and allows us a glimpse of war through the eyes of those affected. I’ll be thinking on this one for a long time. #ReadingEurope2020 #Croatia
