What Members Thought
This is the second in the Crazy Rich Asians series, and though I find these books amusing and somewhat interesting, I do get tired of the total focus on the over-the-top wealth and material things. Yes, I know that is the point of these books, to show just how rich these people are, but I find the characters so intriguing that I would like to read more about them, their personalities, and their activities than on what they own. I would actually give this a 4.25 or 4.5. For me, 5 stars is something that changes my life. Still, this was such a romp! I’m definitely moving on to #3, but waiting for one of those days when you need a ‘sure thing’ to pick you up and envelope you.
Good continuation on the story. I enjoyed it but was a bit more light chick lit than the first I would say. A bit more cliche in some regards but still a fun read
Frivolous and fun.
Better than the first in my opinion, this was not perfect but better detail without it only being about glorified finances and spending habits. Still enough greed to be interesting, but at least had the hint of a plot this time.
