This story had a very good potential and I liked all about it: the age of explorations, medieval Europe and Middle East, an area which is rarely appearing in works of fiction of this genre (from Egypt to India). But the writing is not great. It is mostly scholarly with a lot of bias towards Arab/Muslim view-point.
