If you are a fan of Joanne Harris's books like Coastliners, Chocolat, Blackberry Wine etc this may not be for you. However, if you loved Holy Fools, Gentlemen & Players and her more recent Blueeyedboy then you may just enjoy this one as well.
A gothic Victorian story of possession. Told in turn by different characters, a format Harris does well and which keeps the story flowing and adds drama.
I do think it dragged a little toward the end but overall I enjoyed it and was engrossed in the story.
