My knowledge of Biblical history is nil so this small tome helped to rectify that lacking.
This book has taken me a while to finish, which is unexpected for a work from this author. There were times when I was engrossed, but mostly this story of David's life, told through the eyes of the prophet Natan, didn't catch my imagination and at times was hard to pick up and carry on. I can see that there must have been a lot of research behind the scenes to put a work like this together, but somehow it didn't quite gel for me.
