I love this book! Rebecca Stead hasn't disappointed me yet. I especially love the apartment setting in Brooklyn, and the witty/smart/funny conversations between Georges (silent s, please) and his friends. Although the twist at the end is a bit over the top, I still love the nuance of this book - especially about family and friendship. Looking forward to the next Rebecca Stead's! ...more

I didn't expect to love this book at first, but I liked it enough to keep reading, and then suddenly, I didn't want to put it down! It took me a while to figure out that Georges, the narrator is the liar, and he's lying to himself so the reader doesn't realize what's really going on until Georges faces the truth for himself. I really liked that little twist. ...more
