Despite being a .5 novella addition to a long-running mystery series (.5 installments a somewhat annoying, established trend now), this one was not a bad book for fans. Forensic anthropologist Tempe Brennan discovers human foot bones in a python when she assists a friend she is visiting in the Everglades on a python necropsy (an animal autopsy - and who knew this was a career).
