I expected nothing from this book, and had put off reading it for some time as the cover and title somehow didn't entice me, so was pleasantly surprised by it. Mena is the main character, and her love story is the convoluted thread that this book follows back in time as a genealogist tries to unravel what happened to her and why she disappeared. The answers are slowly and sadly revealed as the author shows what effect one moment in time can have on several generations. An enjoyable read, and I c ...more
