What Members Thought
Subject matter of a Chinese women who was bought from her family and sold into slavery in America during the Gold Rush was very interesting. However, I am not a fan of the author's style of writing. I enjoy history, but I felt this was very dry... reminds me of why so many people dislike history. Bottom line: interesting ideas, boring writing.
