Good stuff, and adresses a serious issue in a reasonably digestible way. Lacks the mystical/spirtual Buddhist magic inside Sonchai's head that have made the previous books several notches above what I call "exotic setting" mysteries. Delves more deeply into what passes for {corrupt}politics in Thailand than prior books. Touches on the world of the Asian superrich, some of whom would it seems like to bring back real slavery instead of paying starvation wages and being allowed to inflict only lite
