UPDATE: Originally rated 5 stars when I read it in 2008; reread it in 2017 and rating it 4/4.5 stars. Still terrifically good, but seemed a bit too slow-building this time around. I remember this was one of the reasons I liked it, but I wish there had been just a few more sweet moments, sweet lines, hot exchanges, etc. Still love though!

In retrospect, this was a very run-of-the-mill romance, with some really preposterous plot points. But I enjoyed it, I spent lots of time reading it this weekend when I should have been doing other things like sleeping or washing dishes, so I give it 4 stars.
