Ah, I had really high expectations since I love Richelle's books. This one was nice, but nothing that special as VA or Bloodlines. I enjoyed reading it and I can recommend it for adult fantasy fans. But it was lacking such an unique protagonist (and other characters) as e.g. Rose. The "love story" was a bit too easy although the whole plot contained several surprises and kind of plot twists. Not sure if I will read the next book in the series as I wasn't that caught by the story.

like all urban fantasy heroines, Eugenie kicks ass and struggles to decide between 2 fantastically hunky men...sigh. Unexpected twist at the end carries series forward...good stuff in a crowded field
