This was a very interesting book. I know very little about the country of Tonga, so it was very interesting to me to see what it was like when Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh visited shortly after her coronation in 1954. The descriptions of the traditional customs and the culture were intriguing. One part that made me laugh was when the author was describing the founding of a music school there, and the professor was teaching the normal do-re-mi system to much laughter from the Tong

This was a wonderful book, although short and focused mainly on Queen Elizabeth's visit to the Island nation of Tonga in the early fifties, there was a lot to be learned concerning Tongan customs. This book is a part of a trilogy, but I would like to read more deeply in this Pacific nation.
