What Members Thought
Was so nice to get into a long historical saga, to root for some of the people and hope others got what was coming to them. Really enjoyed reading this, loved the setting, the characters, and the adventures they all had.
Enjoyed the story, though wondered about the accuracy of the depictions of the places, people, issues. And there were some very jarring phrases like “that blew her mind” and others that I don’t imagine were part of the language in the 1800s. Perhaps not the best translation? Yet, as a family saga set in New Zealand, it was entertaining, a beach-read.
