Being inside the narrators' deranged/scary minds made the tone of the book incredibly creepy (Rachel and Meghan's thoughts made my skin crawl very often) however, towards the second half of the book I was more used to the first person narration tone and was quite invested in finding out who killed Meghan and why.

In all fairness I must say that I skipped a substantial amount of this book. I read enough to to know "who dun it" and how it turns out. It reads like the script of a bad TV movie on the Lifetime network. I'm sure it would be enjoyed by many because there is a market for this sort of thing.
