Although Gilead is still my favorite book by this author, it was really good to read Lila's perspective. Next I will read Jack, to get Jack's perspective. I do wonder if she will write another set in Gilead, maybe Boughton's perspective? ...more

Not a giant fan of the first or second book in the trilogy, I enjoyed Lila immensely, much to my own surprise. I read this for a reading retreat. This book is a great choice for discussion with great secondary characters. I highly recommend. I think I understand why everyone raves about Marilynne Robinson now. Phew!
