Nathan...absolutely breaking my heart!
In Lanyon style, the setting for this book is absolutely tangible...all of your senses are fully engaged with the finesse of writing. Noir is captured and you are transported into the era. The mystery is straightforward, but still keeps you reading.
The characters...oh Nathan. He is a broken man that so fully NEEDS. And that NEED fully breaks your heart throughout the story. Enter Matt, you just want him to be a standup guy.
