I usually love this type of book, but I have to say this is not one of my favorites by MAM. It was very, very slow moving. I realize this is the first of a trilogy, but I didn't get a sense of closure for Carson. I'm assuming the second and third books will focus on Dora and Harper, so maybe Carson will continue to evolve in the background.
