Să fie oare o pură pasiune pentru cărți sau o victorie câștigată cu stima de sine? Este prezentat cazul lui John Gilkey, personaj care este îndrăgostit de cărți și face orice, dar absolut orice, ca să le obțină. Interesant mi s-a părut faptul că, deși este băgat la închisoare pentru ilegalitățile pe care le comite, își face mereu un nou plan pentru atunci când va ieși din închisoare. Un colecționar de cărți se află pe urmele sale și face tot posibilul să îl descopere și să îl dea pe mâna poliție

I agree with the thief that one can get very attached to books and I have bought hard cover editions signed by my favorite authors so I can "possess" them ,but cannot condone stealing to ac.hieve this goal
