Island of a Thousand Mirrors takes place in Sri Lanka during the civil war that began in the 1980s. It follows the stories of two families on opposite sides of the conflict. While it had all the makings of an excellent novel, somehow it fell short for me. I learned a bit about the island and history of the conflict, and the story kept me interested, but it won’t really stick with me.
