Not up to par with Pillars of the Earth series or a lot of his other books, still an enjoyable read, kept me interested.

It took me a few chapters to get hooked, but overall I enjoyed the book. Definitely more erotic scenes than I remember in other Follett novels, which isn't necessary bad, but was unexpected. Overall enjoyable read. ...more
