I enjoyed this book more than most McCarty novels. Not sure why. Maybe it was because it's been a while since I read a book by her, or maybe it's because the character's motivations made some sense in this one. In every McCarty romance, the hero and heroine have a misunderstanding caused by lack of communication that leads to a separation.
