Georgia Carvalho
This book was both funny (in a very catty sort of way), but also incredibly moving and about such a serious issue. I was completely immersed in the experience of listening to it, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although I am more of a historical fiction reader, this contemporary really captured my attention and my heart.

I don't give many 5 stars, and I usually skip those why write 5-star reviews.

The thing I liked the best about this book was its humor. I don't think I ever laughed as loud or as much in any other book I've read, not even Richard Russo’s books. I split a gut when a group of little five-year-old boys were compared to a police line up. And we can’t forget that to be on the PTA, you have to have your hair bobbed and your child has to have a slight nut allergy. Priceless. Her humor is introspective,

My book club chose this book, and I was glad to read another Liane Moriarty novel. Both my husband and I had enjoyed The Husband's Secret.

While I liked her style of writing, I was a bit skeptical whether this one would hold up. Boy did it! While I can't get into some of the mom drama, I found the book at times entertaining, at times, funny, and suddenly all too real and frightening. This book used an interesting technique involving going back to before the pivotal moment to provide the background needed. The author developed her characters well with believable flaws.
