I found this a difficult read. I understand that it was written to mimic some of the mental difficulties the main character was having, but I'm not sure I understood what happened when I finished the book - particularly the 'whodunnit' storyline. ...more

A remarkable, well-studied, portrayal of dementia for a young author. While Maud's daughter Helen frets over her mother's loss of memory, Elizabeth is only mildly disconcerted by it.
