What Members Thought
Initially I felt that the author seemed to be displaying her knowledge of the many ways people can communicate with each other without giving much substance to the plot or character development. The last third of the book made me alter my opinion. I can't say it was one of the vest books I've read, but it did offer a bit of food for thought by the time the final page was turned.

While the ending's so abrupt you can almost hear the sound of tires squealing as the brakes slam on the plot, I find Jane an interesting character - she's refreshingly blunt about her social manipulation of others, and it works effectively as a technique for an amateur investigator.
