Second book in the series and I liked it more than the first. I really enjoy the characters of Cormorant and Robin. All their conversations and interactions are interesting and sometimes even charming! But on the other had these procedurals drag on - the middle of the book seemed to be just one conversation after another - sometimes advancing the story and sometimes a red herring. cant say that I ever sympathized with the group of self absorbed authors and all their petty and no so petty grievan

I really liked this book, the second in the Cormoran Strike series. It was definitely a puzzling mystery, with a good denouement at the end. I can't wait for Rowling/Galbraith to write more in this series. (view spoiler)

I plodded through this book, unlike the first Cormoron Strike book. Found the mystery itself uninteresting and over the top gruesome. But because I enjoy the main character and his assistant I stuck through to the end.

Enjoying this series, look forward to the next one.
The book was well written, the plot was engaging and kept my attention, however, the constant swearing and the gory details were a bit much to stomach at times. i will probably read the next one in the series, if there is one, however.
The first half of the book is longer then the second half. Finally I’m done with it.
