This is a good mystery that sees Madeira investigating the death of her good friend, who died while she was onstage in a play called 'Diamond Sands'. Diamonds are involved in her death, and there are some evil people who want to try to recover any real diamonds that may have been involved. Of course there is lots of vintage clothing lore, especially since the friend sent Madeira a vintage dress right before she died that was a vital clue.
