This was a great read. The author sets you up to belive one thing and then the opposite happens. I like the main protagonist. He has just the right number of flaws. Enough to prove that he is human but not so many that it seems a miracle he can stand upright. The novel gives you a great view of Maine. Very fast-paced and offers some interesting insights into Maine and its game wardens. Definitely a promising debut.
