I like Julia Glass's books, and this one is quite good. It is the story of how Kit (Christopher) needs to find out who his real father was, and the ensuing complications that that search causes. Kit's wife encourages him to make the journey to Vermont, where his stepfather lives, to see if he can find the truth, since Kit's mother, Daphne, refuses to tell him anything. What Kit finds is a situation full of complications, contradictions, and many, many surprises. This book is an interesting look
