This is a very interesting book about an unusual subject. The author decides to study all the rules in the Bible, and then live by as many of them in a literal sense as he can, in the course of one year. It is certainly an interesting experiment, considering the multitude of the rules that come from the Old Testament, but A.J. handles it well. A.J. Jacobs takes on the Bible and all its rules and regulations. He soon finds it impossible to follow every rule every day, so he resorts to attempting to follow selected rules each day. Still he fails. My favorite part was when he went to Central Park on Saturday and Sunday (the Sabbath) and attempted to stone those breaking the Sabbath.
