Police chief Kate Burkholder is asked by her boyfriend John Tomasetti to assist the Ohio criminal investigative division with the disappearance of several Amish girls. Kate was raised Amish so she has insight into the culture. I haven't read this series before and I enjoyed the main character and the setting in Ohio's Amish country. There were a few loose ends at the end of the book which I didn't like but I think I will look for more books in this series. ...more

Another Amish mystery series this one a bit different from P.L. Gaus in that the main protagonist is a former Amish woman who now works in law enforcement. Both series tend to focus on the young people who are intereacting wit the "English" community. Must be tough to be an Amich teenager these days. ...more

A quick and easy read. It could have done with better editing though. The author told us 4 times what rumspriga meant and there were continuity errors with guns and cars.
