I had seen a movie version of Sleepy Hollow years ago, but I hadn't read this short story until now. I loved the descriptions of rural areas around Sleepy Hollow, and I like that in the end you really don't know what happened.

I listened to the audiobook for this and enjoyed the narrator’s ability to put inflections in a way you could distinguish the different characters. I do think the first portion of the story may have been easier to follow had I been reading a physical copy due to all the details and different characters. The language of the book definitely reinforces the fact it is a classic written in the early 1800s. This was the version of a horror book I could tolerate. Not sure I’m ready for the primetime va
