As an adult living in a politically correct world, my breath stopped at times reading some of the sexist and racial stereotypes that played out in this story. My 6 year old son, however, really enjoyed the story. There were just enough suspenseful moments to keep the tale moving forward and us reading until the end. I would give it 3.5 stars only because this isn't my first choice for a read aloud recommendation. ...more
